Revamping PUSKAPA UI’s Website to Broaden Access to Children & Youth Issues

How might we design PUSKAPA’s website to clearly communicate its role while making children and youth issues more accessible to diverse audiences?

PUSKAPA UI is a research and advocacy center under the University of Indonesia, working on children and youth issues through research, policy engagement, and public communication. The website plays a critical role in how the organization introduces itself and communicates its work to key stakeholders. The primary goal of this project was to clarify what PUSKAPA is and what it does, while improving the experience for its main audiences—donors, researchers, and media. The website needed to communicate institutional credibility while remaining accessible to non-academic visitors.

Designing for Discoverability and Approachability

With limited outreach resources, discoverability became a key consideration. The website was designed to be SEO-friendly, enabling PUSKAPA’s research and advocacy work to be found more easily through search engines and reach a broader audience organically. The visual design was also reworked to feel more open and approachable, particularly for university students and individuals who care about children and youth issues. The result is a digital presence that balances research credibility with accessibility, helping PUSKAPA bring important issues into wider public conversations.
